The aim: to study regularities of the changes of morphofunctional state of the pituitary-gonadal system of the female rats in different conditions of the ionizing radiation action and in woman of reproductive age after irradiation therapy of a cerebral tumors. Methods: biochemical, radioimmunological, morphological, electron microscopy, statistical. In the result of the fulfillment of the scientific research work the regularities of radiogenic changes forming in different irradiation conditions were established according to the found concentration of MDA, of AOP enzyme activity, of gonadotrope and sexual hormones concentration in peripheral blood, indices of morphofunctional state of adenohypophysis and of ovaries. The dependence of indices investigate from the doses, from irradiation type and from the time after irradiation was established. Disturbed balance of hormones, induced by ionizing radiation, indicates on stable disturbances in pituitary-gonadal system in the given conditions of irradiation. The biggest changes (increase of MDA concentration, of FSH, of progesterone, of testosterone concentration; decrease of katalase and of SOD activity, of LH and of estradiol concentration) and occurred in single total irradiation of female rats with the dose 6,0 Gy and fractionated irradiation of head with total doses 10,0 and 20,0 Gy. This caused destructive changes of gonadotropocites which were seen in the decrease of the quantity of secreting granules and of also of structural-functional changes in ovaries - decrease of the quantity of primary follicles, early degeneration of sexual sincitiy, of disturbances of follicles ripening stages. Irradiation therapy of nonpituitary brain tumors caused longterm changes in pituitary-gonadal system of reproductive ages women. This was confirmed by changes in concentration of FSH, LH, progesterone and estradiol in the blood serum, increase in ratio FSH/LH of women patients. Terms of restoration of hormonal regulation of reproductive function are in direct dependence from the total dose of brain irradiation. Product Description popup.authors Атаманюк Н.П. Булавицька В.М.
