Period of the prospective observation 2009-2011; retrospective analysis was carried out for 2003-2008. Goal of the study: To reveal peculiarities of health status forming in studied cohort on the basis of profound clinical and epidemiological monitoring. Applied methods: epidemiological, statistical. There was created methodological system and information algorithm of profound clinical and epidemiological monitoring, that allows to carry out epidemiological studies in the second generation of population groups affected by the Chernobyl accident. Complex epidemiological analysis revealed rules of forming of health status in children and adolescents, whose parents were exposured in childhood by radiation due to the Chernobyl accident. The most significant changes were revealed in endocrine pathology (thyroid, first of all). Relative risk of endocrine pathology in studied group comparing with children born from non-affected parents, was 9.13 (95% CI 7.01-11.88). Attributable risk in the same group was 89% (86-92%). These results suggest a necessity of expanded endocrinological examinations with thyroid hormones testing. Special attention is also required cardiovascular pathology, diseases of blood and hematogenesis organs, and nervous-psychical disorders.
