The goal of the work is a establishment of influence of percolation and self-organization processes on forming of thermoelectric properties of solid solutions and nanocomposites on the base of IV-VI semiconductors and Bi, theoretical basis of experimental data and recommendation on the use of the got results at development and optimization of properties of thermoelectric materials with high figure of merit. The research methods are X-ray diffractometry, optical and electron microscopy, measuring of microhardness at constant loading, measuring of electroconductivity, Hall coefficient, Zeebeck coefficient in the temperature interval 77 - 300 К; measuring of thermal conductivity in the temperature interval 170 -670 К. A synthesis, heat treatment, pressing, doping of polycrystalline solid solutions and geterophase alloys on the base of IV-VI semiconductors and Bi was conducted. The thin films samples of undoping and doping of IV-VI semiconductors (PbTe, PbSe, SnTe) and Bi-Sb solid solutions with the different thickness of layers, type and charge carrier concentration was receipted. Dependences of mechanical, galvanomagnetic, thermoelectric and thermal properties of crystals are got on composition, heat treatment, method of samples preparation, temperature. A structure, mechanisms of growth, galvanomagnetic and thermoelectric properties of thin films structures of the undoping and doping PbTe, PbSe, SnTe semiconductors and Bi-Sb solid solutions depending on composition, temperature, thickness of layers was investigated. The got results are analyzed from the point of view the influence percolation effects and self-organization processes (complex formation in solid solution, quantum size effects in the thin films etc.) on the formation of thermoelectric properties of solid solutions and thin films structures and recommendations on the use of these effects for a controlling thermoelectric characteristics were developed.
