Purpose: to develop a kinetic model together with the reactions of low-temperature CO conversion and methods of disposal of by-products: methanol, the conversion of CO, formaldehyde - by incomplete oxidation of n. g. to methanol. Methods and apparatus: theoretical (thermodynamic rationale for the structure of the kinetic equations), experimental (kinetic experiment in the integral reactor), mathematical processing of the experiment. Theoretical and practical results: the kinetic model of co-occurring reactions in the low-temperature CO conversion: the target - the conversion of CO, methanol synthesis side. The developed method and the kinetics of catalytic decomposition of methanol - a byproduct of this process. We propose a method of disposal of formaldehyde - an unwanted companion product of methanol oxidation incomplete n. g. Novelty: a kinetic model of low-temperature CO conversion and the method of this process at low cost steam, a method for methanol - hydrate inhibitor without a by-product - of formalin. Effectiveness of implementation: A kinetic model was created to optimize the low-temperature CO conversion stage in the production of ammonia and reduce the cost of steam (energy consumption) to 0.109 Gcal / t NH3. Disposal of formaldehyde in obtaining incomplete oxidation of methanol will reduce energy costs and ensure the production of methanol - hydrate inhibitor - without a by-product, the cost is 1.5 times lower than the price (excluding VAT) of methanol to chemical companies.
