The purpose of the research - determination of the influence of the effective life of water supply systems on the quantitative and qualitative structure of opportunistic fungi in Kiev water supply. Methods of the research - the method of direct planting and membrane filters method, light microscopy. The basic results - it is established, that the period of operation of water supply systems (20, 30, 50, 60 years) does not influence on the quantity of the fungi in water which on the average makes 9 CFU/100 sm3 for yeasts-similar fungi and 4 CFU/100 sm3 - for miscellaneous fungi. Novelty - absence of correlation between the contents of sanitary-indicative micro-organisms and fungi contents in water is established. Area of the use - environmental protection.
