Purpose of the study is in analysing current professional orientations in Ukraine. Method of research: are general scientific methods, which are used in modern interdisciplinary studies (such as comprehensive, systematic, institutional, statistical, axiological) and main provisions of economic sociology and the theory of economic knowledge. Results: Analysis of professional orientations and employment of youth will help to determine the demand for these or other educational disciplines, and subsequently - the structure of labor supply in regional labor markets. In addition, it will help to develop recommendations for areas of influence and control of professional plans of youth: impact on person, modernization of external factors and changing of situation in which the professional choice is done.
