A synthesis of ultrasmall colloidal cadmium telluride nanoparticles stabilized in water by polyethylenimine and mercaptoacetic acid was proposed. It was found that the ultrasmall CdS nanoparticles manifest an unusually high temperature dependences of the photoluminescence intensity and the energy of the first absorption maximum.
