The purpose of researches - creation of scientifically well-founded technological conditions of heat resisting materials cutting of which will provide high level of machined surfaces quality of the root slots. Methods of researches - a methodological basis of work is the complex approach to studying of influence of the basic technology factors of cutting on formation of surface and surface layer quality of root slots. For object in view achievement fundamental positions of technology of mechanical engineering, the cutting theory are used. In experimental researches methods of the correlation analysis, the mathematical statistics are used. As a result of complex researches of root slots cutting in the turbine and compressor disks under production conditions, practical recommendations about technological preparations of broaching operation which will promote formation of quality key parameters at level of design requirements are given. Scientific novelty of the received results - for production conditions, the equation of regress defining influence of cutting speed, feed, angle of cutting edge and hardness of a surface, on a roughness of a processed material is deduced at root slots broaching in disks from a heat resisting steel; it is investigated character of distribution of residual stress and surface layer hardening depending on cutting conditions, hardness of a material and angle of cutting edge.
