Genetic polymorphism of matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-2 promotor zone, activity of these enzymes, level of their specific inhibitor TIMP1, level and fragmentation of fibronectin were investigated. Analysis of gelatinases promoter zone showed that 10 patients have pathological genotype T/T. But only three of them had complications during hospital period. It was established that level of TIMP was increased in patients with Q-myocardial infarction. The highest level of TIMP was revealed in patients with Q-myocardial infarction which did not get thrombolysis therapy. It was proved that MMP-2/MMP-9 ratio and TIMP level reflect diseases duration.
