With an aacount of the obtained results, recommendations on optimization of DWTT procedure of testing high-strength steels in the conditions of testing facilities of Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Works (MMW) JSC. Reference specimen scales have been developed and coordinated with pipe and tube producers using plate steel for the determination of strength component in DWTT fracture of high-strength steels subjected to thermomechanical rolling at MMW by the method of visual comparison the use of which increases accuracy of determination of this important index.
