Objective of the work: creation of the theoretical and practical basics for the development of an experimental technology and technological equipment of the application of a protective coating with a periodic nanostructure and enhanced functional and service properties onto the inner and outer working surfaces of machine parts - friction pairs, metal-processing tools, etc.; the development of a technology of the application of a nanostructured chromium coating and designs of related technological plasma equipment according to aircraft manufacturing needs. Research methods: experimental, theoretical-calculated ones. Obtained results: an experimental technology of the application of a monophase nanostructured chromium coating and a nanolaminate coating of the chromium-chromium nitride system is developed; the experimental plasma device designs for implementation of the developed technology are made and tested; a conceptual project of an industrial ion-plasma plant of the application of a protective coating onto the inner and outer working surfaces of hydrocylinders in a single vacuum cycle is developed. The results are topical with relation to extend life of parts under mechanical and corrosive wear conditions; for aircraft manufacturing it permits to resolve the pressing problem of improvement of service properties and weight characteristics of AN-type aircrafts using a nanostructured coating.
