Aim of the investigation - The determination of the ways and directions of the improvement public administration of the social development processes. Methods of the investigation for achievement of the set up purpose used the complex approach for the study of social development based on the system of the separate, special and general methods. The use of methods of analysis allowed to define the basic components of research object. In particular, with the structurally-genetic method the social development processes managements levels were marked out. A dialectical method helped to expose an ambiguousness and complication the nature of social processes, which consists in combination of statics and dynamics. The application of system and structurally-functional methods allowed to educe the basic constituents of social development, and also present the process of social development management as certain system which includes such elements, as normatively-legal principles; social institutes, social indexes and others like that. The method of comparative analysis used during the study of existent approaches of research of social development processes, and also during the exposure of features of social development in the conditions of functioning of different social structure. A cross-correlation analysis allowed to set intercommunication between understanding the essence of social development processes and specific of their realization in Ukraine, between the state of the administrative system, society frames development and efficiency of administrative influence on them. There are in process used also the method of generalization, analysis of documents, sinergistical method, historical method and other. Results the investigation and their novelty: the basic approaches to the social development analysis are educed, that allowed to consider these processes taking into account their features; normatively-legal and organizational principles of social development management are described, on that basis system of social development management in and her basic constituents Ukraine is defined; research methodology of the social sphere justified and determined the need to develop diagnostic processes of social development; the foreign and domestic experience of social development management is studied which is used during the lineation of ways and directions of improvement of social development management; the management of mature development of social communities investigated, that allowed to reveal features of this process; the quality indicators of social services considered that helped to determine their level in Ukraine; the correlation between "social development" and "social adaptation" in Ukrainian society considered that proved the need for measures to enhance the adaptiveprocesses in Ukrainian society; the instruments of social policy is definedthat allowed them to justify the need for further development; for discussion of scientific results Roundtable "The Features of social management in Ukraine" held; Glossary "Managing social development" is prepared that optimizes the learning process of students in master's programs, "State government" and "Public administration"; The Textbook "Principles of Social Development" is prepared that can be used for students in master's programs during the selfstudy, holding seminars and workshops in the field "State government" and "public administration".
