The results have allowed establishing such relationship between initial ABF components that provides the maximum energy-conversion efficiency at minimum charges of liquid hydrocarbons. Taking into account that the sludge contains different mineral substances in the form of salts and oxides showing catalytic properties, the investigations directed to differentiate them on the basis of their catalytic activity were carried out. Certain peculiarities have enabled us to formulate guidelines on the directional use of ferrous, calcium and aluminium oxides for fuller combustion of organic part of the sludge and the decrease of pollutant emissions to the atmosphere.
