The subject of inquiry is structure and mechanical properties of the specimens made of alloy ЖС3ЛС-М being developed and compared with commercial alloys ЖС3ЛС and ЖС6У. The aim of the work is to develop a modernized chemical composition on the base of commercial corrosion-resistant alloy ЖС3ЛС exhibiting the same level of mechanical properties as non-corrosion-resistant aircraft alloys ЖС6К and ЖС6У. Methods of investigation: metallographic analysis; spectral analysis; short-term and long-term high-temperature testing. The investigation results have demonstrated that high-temperature corrosion-resistant alloy ЖС3ЛС-М developed with the same corrosion-resistant properties as commercial corrosion-resistant alloy ЖС3ЛС has got significantly higher level of mechanical characteristics. The developed alloy ЖС3ЛС-М has got strength properties at the same level as commercial non-corrosion-resistant high-temperature alloy ЖС6У while plasticity of the first is much better. The developed alloy displays some higher structural stability in comparison with commercial brand alloys ЖС3ЛС and ЖС6У that accounts for alloying by promising elements (hafnium and tantalum). Field of application is energetic and gas-transporting system of Ukraine.
