The molecular genetic characteristic of alleles at Pi-ta and Pi-b loci associated with rice blast resistance among 115 varieties and hybrids of rice was studied. Two co-dominant molecular-genetic markers Pi-ta-R/S and Pi-b-R/S used for detection of the allelic condition of Pi-ta and Pi-b loci. DNA typing of varieties and hybrids of rice for the genes of resistance to blast revealed varieties with homozygous allele resistance gene Pi-ta. Rice varieties of Ukrainian breeding do not have gene Pi-ta, Pi-b. Varieties Merle, Malysh, YIP2775, Garant, 97 В, IRBL-21 recommend use in breeding for resistance to blast. Using co-dominant molecular-genetic markers for Pi-ta-R/S and Pi-b-R/S it will permit to quickly and reliably to pool resistance alleles of genes in the genotypes for the creation of varieties with long-term stability.
