Akunin, E. Andruhovich, L. Deresh, S. Zhadan, E. Limonov, V. Pelevin, L. Yuzephovich and others. The aim of the project is to examine the links between the classic literature, "the high-quality fiction" and the genre mass literature, and also to define the specificity of "the high-quality fiction" in modern literary process. The methods of the investigation are descriptive, comparative and sociological ones. In the course of the research the correlation between the high literature, the mass literature and "the high-quality fiction" was specified, the peculiarities of classic works names, themes, motives usage by the mass authors, as well as the entry of myths about classic writers into the modern cultural consciousness and the mass literature genre cliches usage in "the high-quality fiction" are studied, the peculiarities of the narrative in the works of "the high-quality fiction" and its correlation to the narrative structures in the genre mass literature and the classics are described. The results of the investigation will allow to interpret systematically the links between the high and mass literature, to reveal the pattern of "the high-quality fiction" functioning in the modern cultural space, to specify its varied signs, to clarify the degree of its influence on the readers. The conclusions of the research may also be used in different theoretical, historical and literary courses in the institutes of higher education, in the practice of literature teaching in the schools of general education of Ukraine. The results of the investigation are introduced into the educational process at the philological specialties of Oles Honchar Dnipropetrovsk National University.
