It was found the influence of defects on the critical behavior of the optical activity of nonstoichiometric Pb5Ge3O11 crystals, and linear thermal expansion of doped TGS crystals. It is shown that for correct interpretation of the data and determines of the order parameter critical indices one should take into account fluctuation corrections by comparing the investigated temperature ranges of Ginsburg numbers. The obtained results are discussed within the framework of phenomenological theory of second order phase transition. Spectral and temperature dependences of combined piezooptic coefficients are determined. For the first time the theoretical study by pseudopotenial method of the structural and electronic properties of K2ZnCl4, Tl4CdI6, and Tl4HgI6 was carried out. The optical transmittance of Fabry-Perot resonator with linear optical anisotropy was investigated. The principles of practical application of derived crystals and related physical effects, and the model of structural elements for optoelectronics were proposed.
