Computing procedure to solve equations of the mechanical equilibrium and heat-mass transport of the complex model "viscous mantle – elastic-plastic continent" based on the variational principles and finite-element approach are proposed. Theory and software to analyze the 2D-finite element simulation of the paleogeodynamical system including stress invariants and trajectories analyses are developed. As example, geological interpretation of the numerical and field results for region of the Ukrainian Carpathians are given.
