It produces specific values and behavior models different from common оnes, which are fixed and transferred from one generation to another. Poverty can be defined as absolute and relative, objective and subjective. The structural and functional, cultural and behavior approaches dominate in its understanding. Social and psychological characteristics which increase the probability of poverty occurrence are revealed: uncertainty of value-orientation sphere; low educational level and its depreciation; low professional self-determination; insufficient sense of law-consciousness level; neglect of health and healthy lifestyle; limited and ineffective using of social capital; violation of family structure and disharmonic of family relationship; reproduction of negative stereotypes of rural environment.
