The purpose of research - to investigate the biological status of documents stored in the Archives of the State Archive of Kyiv region. Research Methods - Scientific methods of analysis and synthesis, systematic approach, informational, method of comparison and generalization. Special method: method paper by paper review of documents. The results of research will assess the general state of preservation funds, identify the documents with specific biological injuries that require urgent or planned special treatment, to predict future physical state of funds and plan the work of their preservation. Newness – the researching of the biological state of documents stored in the Archives of the State Archive of Kyiv region, was held for the first time. The effectiveness of implementation – the implementation in practice of an activity of archive of recommendations to improve the biological condition of archival documents will optimize the storage of archival documents in the archives and to ensure appropriate safety measures when working with the affected documents.
