Purpose - making the consolidated list (registry) of the declassified funds of the state archives of Ukraine. The main objectives of the research: to determine where exactly the state archives and what the ammount the declassification of archives was in 2004-2010, to collect the information about these funds in the prescribed form of the descriptive article; to make the scientific editing of the submitted descriptive articles and unification, supplementation with different sources of information about fundcreators; to reveal the current work of the state archives of Ukraine on declassification of archival documents, trends in these processes; to prepare a scientific support unit to the "Register", namely: name, subject-thematic and geographical index, a list of abbreviations and acronyms; Methods: general scientific methods (modeling, the method of system analysis and synthesis, typological). Theoretical and practical results: the “Register” was prepared, which gives an opportunity to learn how to declassified funds in general, and with short anototsiyamy content specific declassified documents. As a scientific reference work in the publishing project "Archival collections of Ukraine" series "Special references" "Registry" brings an end to the accounting and systematization of the declassified work, carried out by the state archives of Ukraine for nearly a quarter century (since the second half of the 1980s by 2010 inclusive) and covers over 10 thousand funds. It is a continuation of previous volumes of the registry, which includes the information about the archival funds, declassified to 2003 inclusive. The novelty of the research: The researches revealing a summary of the declassified funds NAF, Ukraine had not held and special guides not released. Scope of the application: "Register" has an applied and scientific importance. It is intended for archivists, scholars, journalists, ethnographers as a reference work, a tool to search for documents on a particular subject, phenomena, that were previously classified. The effectiveness of implementation: the implementation of the "Register" in the practice of archives will allow for interested users to obtain the information about the content and composition of the documents that were previously unavailable to them because of the secrecy stamp.
