Vorobyov, Registration Date 09-02-2012 Organization Sumy State University popup.description2 Subject of research is the physics of processes of forming and interaction of charged particle beams with the static and variable in time electromagnetic fields. Research aim is to establish general physical laws of forming charged particle beams in irregular static electric and magnetic focusing fields and then to take an account of the effect of variable in time external fields on it. Such research methods were used in this work: a matrizers method, a finite integration technique, a simulation of beam space charge waves by the dielectric waveguide surface wave, assigned current and field; a finite difference method; classical measurement methods of gain and frequency characteristics of electromagnetic fields in a microwave band. In the scientific research the following equipment was used: scanning nuclear microprobe which was developed by IAP NAS of Ukraine, electrophysical facilities for electron beams diagnostics and the Smith-Purcell effect generation of electromagnetic oscillations, experimental facilities for measurements and simulations of electromagnetic effects in 8 and 4 millimeter wave range quasi-optical systems. In the work such important practical and theoretical results were gotten: the optimization problem of nonlinear processes of forming beam for magnetic quadrupole lens multiplets was solved; special complex techniques (experimental and theoretical) for research of electron beam forming physics in electrophysical microwave devises were developed; the general concept of construction of electrophysical microwave devices and facilities for material diagnostics in nuclear power engineering was developed and implemented; new implementation schemes of electronic components for msm-waves devices of quasioptical directional couplers and wave power dividers were suggested; the interaction between graphite sample and adhesive rigid surface nanoasperity was investigated with the help of molecular dynamics method. According to the research results experimental device of scanning nuclear microprobe was developed and put into operation in IAP NAS, Sumy, Ukraine as the first country among CIS countries. In this device precise integrated doublets of new quadrupole magnetic lenses were used. Field computing methods and different techniques for electron trajectory analysis and evaluation of charge density distribution through electron beam diameter were developed. These methods can be used to solve different practical tasks, such as field structure computing and electron trajectory analysis with determined electrode potentials. Results of the research of resonance and waveguide systems allow suggesting and implementing new type devices and facilities which are perspective in submillimeter and infrared wave ranges development.
