The theme under research is urgent due to the tendency to study language units in speech, in functioning whithin field paradigm. The aim of study is to investigate some explicit and implicit specifics of quantitative units whithin frames of lexico-semantic and functional semantic fields, to do cognitive, paradigmatic and syntagmatic analysis of quantitative units. The research results include theoretical criteria basis and methodology for fields studying of quantitative units functioning, that is cognitive sphere of English, Ukrainian, Russian quantitative lexis; paradigmatic systemizing of quantitative units taking into account semantic etymological and functional markers ; derivative potential of quantitative field language units; phenomenon lexicalization on the basis of quantitative units; nature of non-verbal means of quantity explication, implicit text markers of quantity , phenomenon of quantitative units functional modulation when the text on the syntagmatic level of research.
