The films of CdHgTe on alternative substrates were grown by a pulsed laser deposition technique. It is analysed the causes of the twinning effect in thin films CdHgTe. The methods of reducing the defect densities of initial stages of nucleation films were developed. The crystal structures and surface morphology of CdHgTe epitaxial films grown by molecular-beam epitaxy on Si and GaAs substrates with buffer layers by reflection high-tnergy electron diffraction investigation and electron scanning microscopy were investigated. Some mechanical properties epitaxial films, elastic properties of interfaces and characteristic misfit dislocations in multilayer heterostructures including structures with anodiс oxides are investigated. Electrophysical and photoelectric parameters of CdHgTe epitaxial films were measured. The correlation between a structure, processes of defects formation in crystals and films with their electrophysical, photo-electric, optical and mechanical properties determined.
