This theory gives the results of calculations with high accuracy at small modulation of the dielectric permittivity grating medium. The conditions of the laser generation have been defined. New computational method for determining the propagation constants of the localized modes by planar gradient waveguides has been developed. The method is based on the Fourier transform, and provides high accuracy in determining the propagation constants.
