Research methods:analysis of emergency measures on improvement of the regulatory base, on the basis of which a list of regulatory documents requiring first-priority revision or development should be defined;comprehensive analysis of regulatory base on nuclear and radiation safety in the process of which analysis of regulatory documents has to be performed, requirements of which need to be updated in the context of the "Fukushima-1" accidental events to guarantee exclusion of their initiation at NPPs of Ukraine;development of proposals on improvement of nuclear and radiation safety regulatory base and enhancement of safety requirements for operating and new NPP power units on the basis of the accident lessons and results of additional targeted safety assessment of Ukrainian NPP power units (stress-tests).
