By varying the synthesis conditions and the optimal methods, the protocol of synthesis such materials using various types of precursors of titanium, as template coordination compounds with different ligands, and cyclic surfactants and mixtures thereof has been assigned. The synthesized materials were characterized by TEM, SEM, optical and vibrational spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption. Comparative study of bulk carbonization of sucrose (Ar, 400 - 900 оС) in the presence of activating and templating agents (Н3РО4, ZnCl2, water steam) was conducted. It was shown that micropore volume and adsorption capacity for hydrogen (up to 1,48 wt.%) increase in the conditions of non-catalytic bulk carbonization of sucrose with increasing the temperature. It was found that activation with steam at 800 and 850 °C leads to a significant increase of specific surface area of carbon materials (up to 2290 m2/g) and hydrogen adsorption - up to 1,9 and 2,0 wt.% respectively.
