Objects of investigation - binary polypropylene/copolyamide (PP/CPA) mixtures with PP content (20-50) wt.% and modified by carbon nanotubes (CNT) PP/CPA mixtures, PP microfibers, threads and filter materials (FM). Content of CNT was (0,05-3,0) wt.% from PP mass. The aim of this work is revealing of the influence mechanism of CNT on micro- and macrorheological regularities at processing of PP/CPA mixture melts and properties of PP microfibers and complex threads on their basis. The methods of investigation are capillary viscometry, differential thermal analysis, infrared spectroscopy, electron and light microscopies; methods of determination of FM efficiency, specific surface, bactericidal properties, mechanical characteristics of mono- and complex treads. It has been shown that CNT particles do not prevent realization of the specific fiberformation phenomenon but improve it. It has been proposed the mechanism of additive influence: CNT nanoparticles decrease interfacial tension and prevent to growth of amplitude of disturbance wave. The peculiarities of rheological properties of PP/CPA with CNT additives mixture melts were found. Dependence of viscosity of modified mixture melts versus CNT content has complicated character. Viscosity decreases at 0,05% wt.% CNT content. At further in creasing of CNT content the viscosity grows. At this occasion the effect of filling by solid shows. For nanofilled mixtures the values of the extrudate swelling increase. The capability of these mixture melts being longitudinally deformed (spinnability) is improved. Complex threads on the basis of PP filled by CNT microfibers have high specific surface and hygroscopicity. Nanofilled PP monothreads are effective surgical suture material. The developed thinfibers FM have simultaneously high efficiency of purification and high productivity. These materials have also bactericidal action.
