The purpose of the work is to upgrade MR efficiency in the diagnostics of knee joint diseases; to study normal pathology and anatomic structure variants of knee joint at MR image; to develop the indications for MRI with and without contrast media application in patients with knee joint diseases; to develop MRI standard protocols with and without contrast media application for knee joint investigation; to study MR-semeotics of traumatic, degenerative dystrophic, inflammatory, metabolic and neoplastic knee joint diseases; to study MRI diagnostic possibilities at knee joint pathology. The investigation data enable to improve MRI method and to upgrade its efficiency in differential diagnostics of knee joint diseases. The standard protocols of investigations, indications and gadolinium contrast media s application algorithm are developed enabling to ensure the enhancement of purposeful application of all MRI equipment in Ukraine and to approach quality index of its application to European standards.
