A purpose of work is an estimation of modern and calculation of hydraulic-morphometric characteristics of water exchange in the system "Tiligulsky estuary-Black sea" (based on hydraulic calculations and hydrodynamic design) for development of recommendations on the conservation of estuary's resources. Methods of investigation are expeditionary researches, processing of cartographic material and satellite pictures of estuary, water objects and an estuary part, modeling of natural and domestic water flow of the rivers in the pool of estuary, hydraulic calculations of water exchange and hydrodynamic modeling of flows in an estuary et al. Results and novelty - hydraulic-morphometric characteristics of Tiligulsky estuary, connecting channel, lakes and adjoining part of sea are estimated; surface water flow of the watershed rivers of estuary are calculated; water exchange between an estuary and sea at modern hydraulic-morphometric characteristics of channel and optimum - which the favorable ecological state of estuary will be supported (based on hydraulic calculations and hydrodynamic modeling) are determinate; the scientifically grounded recommendations on renewal and subsequent maintenance of the favorable ecological state of estuary complex due to optimization of water exchange by the channel "estuary-sea" and adjustings of surface water inflow from the watershed are developed.
