Goal of the work - development of methodology for engineering and selection of optimal parameters of light transport helicopters in a framework of conceptual design. Research methods - statistical analysis of characteristics and parameters of light helicopters; computational and analytical study of impact of light helicopter's parameters on their weight and aircraft performance; engineering analysis of aircraft structures using ANSYS software; parametrical modeling using Siemens NX and KOMPAS software. The results of current research are following: - the method for integrated design, construction, and simulation of light helicopters has been presented; - the methodology for selection of parameters and characteristics of transport light helicopters with piston and turbine engines (in a framework of conceptual design) has been developed; - analytical and graphical dependencies for computational selection of basic parameters of light helicopters with regard to their layout and design features have been defined; as an example, selection of light helicopter's parameters has been done; - the method for definition of overall stress-strain state characteristics of the light helicopter's fuselage compartment has been developed; - the method for creation of parametric model of ordinary frame tail beam of light helicopter using Siemens NS software; - the examples of tables with model statistics and characteristics of light helicopters, their parts and units, required for designing of new helicopters have been developed and presented. .
