The main results of the project: A series of ferromagnetic nanoparticles of spherical, elongated and discoid shape have been obtained in the size range from 7 to 200 nm. A general structure is prposed and series of effective surfactants (monomezogennim kernel dendronopodobnye oligomezogeny) have been obtained, which open the way for the stable with time dispersions in the LC for relatively small magnetic nanoparticles (5-20 nm). It is shown that the dispersion of magnetic nanorods in nematic liquid crystals depending on a boundary conditions, the threshold of magneto-optical effect can be change up to 15% of its value it is shown that esters of optically active trifluoromethyl alcohols by its twisting power in smectic-C exceed known analogs more than 1.5 times and also effectively induce the spontaneous polarization. Such a set of properties is of great importance in designing of LCD light shutter, phase modulators with fast response An efficient procedure for the cross-coupling reaction according to the Suzuki in the micellar environment has been proposed.
