Single crystals of the complex garnet Gd(AlGa)5O12:Ce3+ are grown, transparent ceramics of the same composition is obtained. The light yield of the grown crystals is equal to 15143 photon/MeV, the ceramics has a lower light yield - 11599 photon/Mev, which is caused by structure imperfection of the samples obtained at this stage of the technology developmnt.
