Zinc oxide nanocrystals wee synthesized by chemical decomposition inside the nanotubes. For the first time, zinc oxide nanocrystals and nanowires with a diameter less than 10 nm were obtained inside carbon nanotubes. The level of nanotube filling was not lower than 50%.
