It was shown that the materials developed act as efficient photocatalysts of chain-radical oxidation of hydrosulfide and sulfite ions by molecular oxygen. It was found that the titania dispersions and TiO2-based metal-semiconductor nanocomposites act as photocatalysts of CO2 reduction aqueus solutions. The Degussa P25 titania and the TiO2 samples produced at the project implementation were found to be photocatalytically active in CO oxidation. The superior photocatalytic activity of mesoporous TiO2 may originate from the porous structure and their capability of retaining of the reactants in the pores of the photocatalyst.
