F. Sp. Tritici Eriks. Et Henn.) is developed. The 43 varieties of wheat breeding Mironovka Institute of Wheat of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine have studied. It was found that all varieties hadn't the gene Sr2 in the allelic state "Hope." The selected varieties have studied for the presence of a gene SrCad. It is revealed that this gene is absent among the studied cultivars. The absence of these genes in the studied cultivars points to the need for the selection process for combining Lr34 (+), Sr2 and SrCad genes that will yield wheat varieties with increased resistance to stem rust, particularly in its most virulent race - Ug99.
