Vlokh of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine popup.description2 According to Terms of Reference the compounds were synthesized and undoped and doped borate glasses (Li2B4O7, LiKB4O7, Li2B6O10, LiCsB6O10, LiCaBO3, CaB4O7 and SrB4O7) were prepared, as well as the compound was synthesized and LiKB4O7 single crystals were grown. The dispersion rdependences (400 - 700 nm) were Iinvestigated and X-ray studies were carried out in undoped glasses. Their physical parameters were determined , such as: density, thermal parameters, velocity of acoustic waves, the coefficients of elasticity and photoelasticity, piezooptic coefficients, acoustooptical quality, Poisson coefficients and parameters of Grunizen, Verde and Faraday, radiation threshold. Optical-luminescent properties of doped borate glasses were investigated, in particular, optical absorption spectra, luminescence and photoluminescence excitation and EPR spectra. The structure of Sm3 + and Yb3 + centers in Li2B4O7 glasses and luminescence centers in LiKB4O7: Cu, Li2B4O7: Cu glasses was determined. Nonlinear optical susceptibility of the 3rd order and coherent length for the third harmonic generation were determined, and the effect of nanosized second harmonic generation for single crystals LiKB4O7 was revealed.
