Object of research - psychological competence heads of educational institutions. Objective - to reveal the contents, elements, factors forming the psychological competence heads of educational institutions in transforming society, to develop the technology of psychological competence heads of educational institutions at the postgraduate educational system and show its effectiveness. Methods of research - theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the issue of research, diagnostic techniques (questionnaires, interviews, testing, documentation analysis, content analysis, etc.), methods of active social and psychological studies (social and psychological training, educational role and business games, etc.), methods of mathematical processing of the data (correlation, factor, variance, cluster analysis). Developed and tested a set of psychological conditions and the formation of psychological competence of education in postgraduate education. A special courses designed at forming components of psychological competence heads of educational institutions.
