The purpose of the work is production technology improvement of low cement castables and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass. The research methods are physicochemical, petrographic, electron microscopic, physico- and thermo-mechanical ones. The comparison researches of influence of high alumina cement type (grade of "СА-270", "СА-470 ТI" and "ВГЦ-73") on the properties of low cement alumina spinel castable grade of "СГШНЦОБ" and samples from this castable have been carried out. It has been determined the expediency of application of cement grade of "СА-470 ТI", as well as cements grade of "СА-270" and "ВГЦ-73", in the composition of the indicated castable as hydraulic hardening binder. The use of cement grade of "СА-470 ТI" provides quick hardening of castable at low temperatures and allows broadening of raw material base for production of castable grade of "СГШНЦОБ". The influence of dispersing additions type (Castament FS-10 and FW-10, SioxX and SioxX-Quick) on the properties of low cement mullite corundum castable grade of "ССМКНЦБ" and samples from this castable has been researched. It has been determined the expediency of application of dispersing additions grade of "SioxX" and "SioxX-Quick", as well as additions grade of "Castament FS-10" and "Castament FW-10", which are traditional used, in the composition of the indicated castable. The use of dispersing additions grade of "SioxX" and "SioxX-Quick" in the composition of low cement mullite corundum castable allows increasing its flowing ~ 1.2 times more and provides increasing compression strength of samples after firing at temperature 1000°C ~ 4.5 times more in comparison with additions grade of "Castament FS-10" and "Castament FW-10", which are traditional used. The use of above mentioned additions allows broadening of raw material base for production of castable grade of "ССМКНЦБ". The comparison researches of influence of component containing alumina type (alumina grade of "ГК-1" produced by OJSC "Bauxitogorsky alumina plant", reactive alumina grade of "ГРТ" produced by Borovichsky plant of refractories, reactive alumina grade of "СL-370" produced by "Almatis") on the properties low cement mullite corundum self-flowing castable of "СМКНЦБС-1" and samples from this castable have been carried out. It has been determined the possibility of application of all researched aluminas grade of "ГК-1", "ГРТ" and "СL-370", as well as materials containing alumina, which are traditional used, in the composition of the indicated castable. It allows expanding of raw materials for manufacture of this type production. The comparison researches of influence of component containing alumina type (reactive alumina grade of "ГРТ" produced by Borovichsky plant of refractories, reactive aluminas grade of "CTC-40" and "СL-370" produced by "Almatis") on the properties of refractory corundum silicon carbide mix of "СКККТ" for thixotropic mass and samples from the indicated mass have been carried out. The possibility of application of reactive alumina grade of "СL-370", as well as aluminas grade of "ГРТ" and "CTC-40", for production of the indicated mix has been shown. It allows expanding of raw materials for manufacture of this type production. The production technology of gunning-powders for caring out of protective coatings on tundish ladles lining for employment in the conditions of the PJSC "Panteleymonovsky refractory plant" has been reprocessed. In PJSC "THE URIR NAMED AFTER A.S. BEREZHNOY" the pilot batches of different castables and refractory products based on them have been produced and intended to customers. The work shall be continued in the line of further improvement of production technology of low cement castables and refractory corundum silicon carbide mix for thixotropic mass, as well as expanding of their production and application values.
