The aim of research is to identify opportunities to improve wear resistance of high speed steel tools by drawing on their contact surface film coatings with different adhesive properties. Research Methods. Study the performance of thin film coatings made using trybometra to determine the relative activity of adhesion films and devices for assessing the strength of adhesion coverage of instrumental basis by scraping method (Perry). To study cells depreciation methods used optical and scanning microscopy. During the research found that the mechanism of the coating on the cutting process is to change the conditions of friction on contact surfaces of the instrument as a result of changes in their adhesion activity to the material, the scheme design of multilayer coatings of optimum composition for increasing the efficiency of high speed steel tools in the processing of different materials. Materials research used in writing a thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences in specialty 05.03.01 - "machining processes, tools and instruments" senior lecturer in machine tools and tool ZNTU Kondrat G. Results of research can be used in manufacturing in the preparation of recommendations for rational use of thin film coatings with different adhesive properties to improve the wear resistance of high speed steel tools.
