Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 We proved that the method, based on the registration of chemiluminescence dynamics, induced by Fe2+ ions in phospholipids solution, gave possibility to extrapolate the influence of Fe3O4 nanoparticles onto the oxidative homeostasis state of biological systems in presence of some prooxidants or antioxidants. We showed the elevation of iron amount after incubation of cells with FM in all cellular fractions. The highest level of iron was noticed in mitochondrial and cytosolic fractions. The described correlation between FM cytotoxic activity and their physico-chemical properties would allow us to perform selection of FM with needed size to study their interactions with cell membrane structures.
