Object of the work is the assessment of compliance of technical characteristics with the requirements of GOSТ 3445-96 (GOST 10674-97), effective normative documents, technical specification and technical documentation for the tank wagon. There are the tests results of strength and dynamic characteristics of the tank wagon for the compliance with the normative documentation. The tests of the strength properties of the tank wagon were conducted under steady-state and operational conditions. At the steady-state tests the strength of metal constructions of the tank wagon under vertical loads, repair loads, boiler stability under excessive internal and external pressure were tested. The strength of metal constructions of the tank wagon during the impact was investigated. At the operational tests the strength of metal constructions of tank wagon body was tested and the indexes of the running behaviour of the tank wagon during the motion at the different speeds on the characteristic track sections in the environment of Iranian railways.
