The object of the research - subjects of traditional folk housekeeping and household activities, local necropolis and commemorative ceremonialism phenomena of the residents evacuated from the villages of Chornobyl exclusion zone. The purposes of the research are objects' and phenomena fixation of material and spiritual culture of the inhabitants from the contaminated villages; formation of the archival-museum fund of the Ukrainian Polissya ethno-cultural heritage. Methods - respondents' interviewing by developed questionnaires, audio, photo and video fixation of the traditional folk cultural objects and phenomena; tested in the field practice methodical techniques on identification and obtaining museum items under the extreme conditions of contaminated evacuated areas. Within thematic historical and ethnographic expedition to 9 villages of the exclusion zone an exploration of 5 local cemeteries was held, a number of residential, household and public buildings had been explored, the information on calendar, family traditions and ceremonies was recorded from participants of the funeral rite "hrobky" within the territory of 4 cemeteries; 5 hours of video, 3 hours of audio recordings were performed, more than 2200 photos had been shot. The collected field materials were deciphered and processed. Results of the research will be used to create the museum-archive of ethnocultural heritage of Ukrainian Polissya affected areas. Because of irreversible destructive processes in traditional folk culture of the injured villages, field researches within the disaster area require an immediate continuation.
