In the group of patients with autoimmune diseases seropositivity to all examined viruses and Toxoplasma was significantly higher than in controls. Percentage of seropositivity to HBV was 16,7 ± 7,35% in the group of patients with RA and 19,8 ± 3,69% in patients with SLE, to HCV - 11,9 ± 3,95% in the group of patients with RA and 10,2 ± 2,77% in patients with SLE, to parvovirus B 19 - 77,8 ± 4,24% in the group of patients with RA and 82,1 ± 3,45% in patients with SLE, to Toxoplasma - 61,1 ± 8.12% in the group of patients with RA and 79,2 ± 6,92% in patients with SLE. Antibodies to E. histolytica detected in 7,7 ± 5,23% of patients with SLE. Antibodies to Brucella were found in only 2,9 ± 2,87% of RA patients, which excludes this pathogen as trigger in development of RA.
