The participants of the project have participated in 15 conferences (mostly international). During the second year of research, project participants focused on the analysis of periods (particularly "the Enlightment" and "Silver age" periods), approaches (symbolism, personalism, existentialism, philosophy of law/ within the context of liberal conservatism) of development of philosophy in Ukraine and Russia. The issues of philosophy and literature, philosophy and philosophic education, philosophic "classical" and "post-classical" tradition, the problem of the meaning of life and eschatological topics were elaborated via analyzing philosophic legacy of A. Byely, N.A.Bulgakov, N.V.Lomonosov, V.S. Solovjev, P.B.Struve, P.A. Florensky, S.L. Frank, G.I. Chelpanov, L.Shestov etc. It is shown that in Ukraine the formation of historical-philosophic process requires taking into account the links among metaphysical, theological, mythical, artistic, and law means of human self-determining within the development of philosophic culture. Concerning the issue of periodization of Russian and Ukrainian philosophy, its beginning and seminal stages of evolution, the diversity of approaches should be discussed. They embrace the philosophy which is linked with literature as well as philosophy which is construed as a function of religious thought etc. Taking this into account, the history of Russian and Ukrainian philosophic thought and specificity of philosophy are understood as a unity of ideas, images, and concepts available in Russian and Ukrainian culture throughout its history.
