FTIR spectra of monohydric alcohols, trapped in an argon matrix were registered. The gradual transformation of individual molecules into cluster structure occurring during matrix heating was shown. Quantum-chemical calculations of space structure and the vibrational spectra of partly ordered liquids – liquid crystals and alcohols - were carried out.
