From this material with the addition of ZnSe and Cr there was grown СdSe1-x:Cr2+ crystal by the Bridgman method under the pressure of inert gas. The obtained crystal was used for producing crystalline samples.The chemical composition of the matrix and the concentration of the active dopants were determined. The optical properties of the grown crystal were investigated. The influence of the chemical composition of the matrix on the energy spectrum of the active ions Cr2+ was studied.
