Kavetsky Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology popup.description2 The results obtained: The dynamics of free radicals deposition in tumor cells due to the cytotoxicity of various nanomaterials (ferromagnetic and colloidal gold) was studied using in vitro system. All these metall-containing materials were ascertained to act as lipid peroxidation initiators, though the colloid gold nanoparticles effect distinguished by retard and less intensive course of the process. An increas in transmembrane free radicals outflow was demonstrated as well as enhanced deposition of their metastable derivates in Ehrlich's ascites and MCF-7 tumor cells following an exposure to the feromagnetic. These changes were observed at both 24 and 48 h intervals, however a dose dependance of the ferromagnetic effect has occurred only at 48 h. Additionally, an assay procedure was developed, fit for free radicals production and deposition rate estimating in the cells exposed to nanosized materials. The data obtained in this way were agreed with the results of cytomorphology assay, thus confirming the chemiluminescence test relevance for the estimation of cytotoxic effect caused by nanosized materials of different origin.
