It was demonstrated that salt stress causes reduction in repeseed plants seed yield and seed oil content. However, application of 24-epibrassinolide induced recovery of plant productivity and improved seed oil fatty acid composition of rapeseed when cultivated in adverse conditions. Study of rapid plant responses to 24-epibrassinolide treatment allowed revealing the inclusion of phospholipases to implementation of brassinosteroids' growth-stimulation activity.
