Samples of zinc activated with such metals-activators as antimony, bismuth and tin have been obtained. The kinetics and mechanism of interaction of a two-component alloys (Zn-Bi) and three-component alloys (Zn-Sn-Bi; Zn-Sb-Bi) with water with hydrogen evolution in the temperature range 150-325 С have been studied by the volumetric method at high pressures and temperatures. The main kinetic parameters (rate constants; activation energies, induction periods, maximum hydrogen evolution rates and time of reaching them) of hydrogen evolution by interaction between activated-zinc alloys and water have been determined. It has been found by an X-rey phase analysis that the product of the reaction of interaction between activated-zinc alloys and water is zinc oxide ZnO, and that metal-activator bismuth separates as a metal phase in the microcrystalline state.
